Our Services
Are you a beginner? This is the right class for you to learn fundamentals and game play. We include the 2026 NMJL card for all lessons! Sign up solo or with friends.
Mahjong 101 Lessons
Still not sure about all the rules or hand selection and pivoting? Want to play defensively or learn how to play when you don't have 4 players? This is the class you should consider.
Mahjong 102 Lessons
Join any of our available social plays. You must have had lessons and do not need instructor support for Open Play. Our play supports local small business owners!
Open Play
Join here for social play that includes instructor support during play. Instructors come around answering questions and providing clarifications and suggestions.​​

After retiring from 30+ years in corporate life and traveling all over the world, Tina wanted to continue to stay challenged, help contribute to her local community, and bring joy to those looking to learn this global cultural game that originated from China in the 19th century. She loves the friendships that blossom around a Mahjong table, and the many smiles that the game brings to people. She is dedicated to ensuring that you have the best experience possible as a part of the Lotus Mahjong Club, while helping to sponsor local small businesses.
Tina brings an infectious passion for the game, and her patient and easy-going style will help you have a great time at Social Plays, and help prepare beginners to become confident and successful players. She'll be there every step of the way for her students. Tina and her family have resided in the Alpharetta and Forsyth County Georgia area for 26+ years.
